We have a Sales Advisor opportunity at our Vauxhall Kirkcaldy dealership.
Purpose
To live and breathe the culture and ethos of Peter Vardy Ltd on a daily basis and to ensure our values and work style are upheld at all times.
Provide a courteous, professional and friendly service to customers ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
To achieve agreed targets for the sale of vehicles, extended warranty and accessories, using the company sales process and product knowledge to generate maximum profit.
Key Responsibilities

• Promptly approach and greet all customers in line with company standards.

• Adhere to Peter Vardy Ltd Sales process.

• Seek information from the customer to identify needs and requirements, in a courteous and professional manner.

• Ensure the customer is aware of all vehicle features and benefits, offering all customers a test drive.

• In agreement with the customer, carry out a full and accurate appraisal of all part-exchange vehicles.

• Provide a thorough explanation of warranty in a non-pressured way.

• Present an offer to the customer that meets their needs and requirements.

• Prepare and complete all necessary sales documents both accurately and speedily to meet company, manufacturer and legal requirements.

• Ensure that all monies due to the company are paid in full from either the customer or approved finance supplier/company, acknowledging cash payments by receipt.

• Handover paperwork to Sales Administration to initiate progressing for handover (where there is no Sales Support Executive).

• Arrange a convenient date and time for handover.

• Ensure documentation is in order and the vehicle has been quality checked prior to handover (where there is no Sales Support Executive).

• Hand over vehicles in perfect condition, when promised, giving a detailed explanation of vehicle controls and paperwork (where there is no Sales Support Executive).

• Maintain and update prospect information.

• Develop and maintain the highest possible level of product knowledge of all products and service sold.

• Assist the Sales manager to ensure that all departmental facilities and products are presented and maintained to the required standards.

• Assist the Sales manager in resolving any customer complaints, as appropriate.

• Attend training courses and developmental activities as required.

• Maintain high standards of appearance, manner and integrity.

• Ensure the security and careful handling of vehicles and other company property

• Observe all relevant Health and Safety procedures.

• Carry out other duties required from time to time.

• Make effective use of time, prioritising where necessary and always seeking to provide solutions to problems and add value.

• Continually develop personal knowledge and skills through learning, development and experiences.

• Ensure that at all times that personal behaviour is consistent with the Peter Vardy Values and Work Style.
For recruitment purposes, the successful candidate would have:

• Hold a clean, current driving licence
-
• Satisfy the requirements of the FSA and be of ‘good financial repute’
-
• Be willing to work additional/unsocial hours as required
